Eloping at the Idaho State Capital
The Idaho State Capitol is honestly one of the most beautiful places to elope, and free! This is honestly one of my requested locations for elopements, or even just couple or graduation shoots. The beautiful building offers many scenic spots for photos.

Malcom and Sonnay held their ceremony in the main floor. When using the Capitol, it's important to pay attention to their calendar of events to make sure that nothing is happing during the time of your ceremony. (You can't reserve the building for a wedding, but can use it during regular public hours for a small, quiet ceremony. Details here.) Also, it would be best to avoid using the building when legislature is in session as the building is very busy, and there is often a huge flag hanging in the middle of a lot of photo areas.

I prefer to use the west or east wing for photos depending on where the sun is facing, to avoid the signs on the doors or other visitors. It's a good spot for family photos, and then the stairs work great for couple photos. There's a lot of different photo locations to use there! Here's a few more photos from Sonnay and Malcom's wedding day.
